Welcome to the Backcountry Squatters reading group. With our overarching goal of developing women’s growth, we are extending beyond the outdoors. We value this lifelong journey of learning and like everything Backcountry Squatters, we want to do it together.
Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World, and Become a Good Ancestor
Given the recent events of the BLM movement, we now realize our current standards of racial inclusivity and anti-racism practices are not enough. In order to better educate ourselves on these important topics on a daily basis, we are starting a book group. In this group, we will be reading Me and White Supremacy over the course of six weeks and then virtually gathering to regularly discuss the topics we are covering.
Any women and non-binary folx in the Backcountry Squatters’ community are welcome to join!
