our ambassadors

who helps us

our stoke-builders

Our regional ambassadors are women who have gained tremendous benefits from Backcountry Squatters and want to help grow this community accross the entire United States.

Nina Paris

ROCKY MOUNTAIN SOUTH

Nina grew up in Golden, Colorado where she discovered her love for the outdoors. She chose to attend college in Bozeman because of its access to the outdoors and its academic programs. Nina graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Biochemistry and Hispanic Studies. During her time at MSU she was on the executive board of Backcountry Squatters as the treasurer.  In her free time, Nina enjoys biking, hiking, climbing and skiing. She is also passionate about getting other girls outdoors. Nina currently works at Planned Parenthood as a health center assistant to gain medical experience before applying to school to become a physician’s assistant.

Erin Bolger

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NORTH

Erin moved to Bozeman from Northern Wisconsin to pursue a degree in Exercise Science at Montana State University. Being from Wisconsin, she looked to Backcountry Squatters to help her get involved in the activities that the Montana Mountains provided. After graduating, Erin realized that she still wants to be a part of this organization and she is excited to use her personal experience to encourage more women to join, the oftentimes, intimidating outdoor community. Outside of Erin’s professional world, you can find her mountain biking, skiing, running or enjoying good food and beer with friends.

Anna Mounsey

WEST COAST

Anna grew up in Snoqualmie, WA and has just moved back to the Seattle area after four years in Bozeman, Montana and recieving a degree in Microbiology. Currently, she is taking a year off to travel and undergo knee surgery before possibly heading to grad school or continuing to work and travel -the decision is yet to be made! During the summers, she works as a commercial fishing deckhand in Bristol Bay and Ketchikan, Alaska. Working on fishing boats can be very challenging, but has taught her a lot about herself and has also enabled her to take the winters off for school, and now for play! She is outgoing, adventurous, a little impulsive and loves to encourage other women to get out and try something new or scary. When she’s not ripping a snowmobile or picking fish, she likes to read, paint, plan trips and keep up with her amazing friends!

Emily Boyden

EAST COAST

Originally from Vermont, Emily headed west to Montana in search of higher mountains and an education. Emily graduated with honors from Montana State University with a B.S. in Exercise Science. When she wasn’t studying you could find her hiking, skiing or mountain biking in the Bridgers or enjoying a mad mile at Bridger Brewing. During her freshman year of college, Backcountry Squatters was created by her friends Andie & Kit and the club quickly became an avenue for her to meet other adventurous girls! Emily has enjoyed watching the evolution and growth of Backcountry Squatters and is excited to be the East Coast Ambassador while she earns her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Boston, MA.
